Cooking doesn’t need to be complicated, and with the right ingredients, even the simplest meals can become gourmet experiences.
This week, we will be exploring the vibrant flavours of the Mediterranean. With minimal effort, you can cook up some delicious Mediterranean-Style Pork Sausage Patties, using just a few simple ingredients. These patties are perfect for quick dinners, meal prep, or impressing guests with minimal fuss.
A traditional blend of herbs and spices with a hint of black pepper, this mix provides a classic sausage flavour base.
A versatile seasoning that adds depth and flavour to meats.
A rich and smoky sauce that complements the herby patties perfectly, adding depth and moisture.
Additional Ingredients:
- 500g Minced Pork
- 1 tbsp Sun-dried tomato paste
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 2 Cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Dried Oregano
- ½ tsp Smoked paprika
- Crumbled feta cheese (optional, for topping)
Preparation Steps:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 500g of minced pork with 62.5g of the Cumberland Sausage Mix
- Add sun-dried tomato paste, lemon zest, garlic, parsley, oregano, smoked paprika, and 2 tablespoons of All Purpose Rub and mix well
- Divide the mixture into 8 even portions and shape into round patties
- Heat a grill pan or non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked
- Present the patties neatly on a plate or serving board and top with crumbled feta (optional). Finally, serve with a side of our rich Stokes BBQ Sauce.
Cooking Tips:
- Chill the patties for 20 minutes before cooking to help them hold their shape
- For added depth, marinate the mix for an hour before cooking
- Grill for added smokiness or cook in a cast-iron pan for a crispy crust
Serving Suggestions:
- Mediterranean Bowl: Couscous, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, olives, and tzatziki
- Flatbread wrap: Wrap patties with lettuce, red onion, and garlic yoghurt sauce
- Tapas Style: Mini patties served with olives, hummus, and pita chips
