Making time: 45 minutes
Serves: 4-6 people
Ingredients:
- 500g Beef Burger Mix
- 1kg Minced beef
- Cold water
- Stokes Sauces (Take your pick)
- Burger buns
- Salt and black pepper
- Salad Variation – Tomato, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, gherkins, etc
Method:
- In a large bowl, combine the minced beef with the Beef Burger Mix. Gradually add a little cold water to help bind. Season lightly with salt and cracked black pepper. Mix gently until evenly combined
- Divide the mixture into 4–6 even portions and gently shape each into a round patty. Press a slight indent in the centre of each patty. This helps them cook evenly and keeps them flat
- Heat a grill, griddle pan, or barbecue to medium-high. Cook the patties for about 4–6 minutes per side, depending on thickness and how well done you like them. Add a slice of cheese on top during the last minute if you want cheesy burgers
- While the burgers finish cooking, lightly toast your burger buns on the grill or in a pan for a bit of extra flavour and texture
- Place each patty into a bun and customise with your favourite toppings, crisp lettuce, tomato slices, tangy pickles, grilled onions, and your choice of Stokes Sauces
